Shopping at a click!!

You know what? If you are reading me today here, that’s because of online shopping. Really!!

Confused??

Well yes!
My story of online shopping started in February this year when I completely lost my interest in that 10 to 7 accounts-tax work! On week days it was “Get up-office-comeback-sleep”, On Sundays, it was “sleeeeeeeeeeep”. That was when I found peace in reading books that I used to borrow from a colleague ( I used to read sometimes in office time also :P ). Books that were different from the few college life romances I had read till then. And I started to enjoy reading.

After I left my office, I was sure it would kill me to sit idle at home the whole day. And I wanted something new. A hobby may be. And what better than reading Books? But the fact is I hate going to shopping! At least at that point I used to. :P and there was no shop nearby which sells novels. At least which I wanted. Only academic books you see!

That was when a friend introduced me to the realm of online shopping. with some skepticism I made my first online purchase. I purchased two books “Life is what you make it” and "A thing beyond forever” from Snap Deal.com. (Both impulsive purchases. Neither my colleague nor I had heard of them before). Lovely books, both of them! Those books actually introduced me to world of blogging as I read about the authors- Preety Shenoy and Novoneel Chokroborty. That was how I learned about the Blogosphere. So actually in a way, its because of online shopping that u are getting to read me! Interesting no??

At first I was little wary about do they actually send good-quality products, how would I pay them and a lot of questions popped up in my mind. but thankfully cash on delivery option was available (I didn’t know about that previously) and  the books arrived in time and this encounter opened me to the world of online shopping. And since then I am enjoying both- Blogging and shopping! :-D

After that I have explored Flipkart, Indiatimes shopping, ebay, jabong…but yes my domain have mostly been books, diaries, cards, though yes sometimes there are other stuff like clothes, clutches etc. But only sometimes!

Here are some books that I bought online:

And this is how I keep my books. :-)

And shopping is indeed a romantic thing! I bought this soft toy too online. These sites are actually very user-friendly! A mere click opens up a whole lot of range of products of many brands, makes, designs & colors: In short, from what to what not?? Now nothing stops me ofcourse.

Earlier, I never used to go for shopping, so of course purchasing a gift for someone however close he/she might be to me, was a mind-numbing task. I was always out of ideas. Infact, I always used to ask my group to purchase something and I used to contribute later and of course you can imagine what a serious offence it is in a friends-group.

Now of course I personalize the gifts by choosing 2-3 items and that too just by few clicks. And also with those special occasion additional-discount-coupons, I have been able to buy that ‘little-over-the-budget-thing’ that I wish to give as gift.

As they say, Gifts are only as special as people who we buy them for!

Thank you online shopping, for making every purchase a memorable experience in itself!
Uptill now, I have been satisfied with the experience. My next order is in process which is something different from earlier. Fingers Crossed!!
