Emptiness......


Scribbled this poem around 2 yrs back.  …sharing it now J

Emptiness

The Day comes,
And the night Knocks
Alone I sit, listening
To the sound of the clock
Witnessing the Emptiness
Of every single second & waiting
For it to pass & hoping
That the next one that will come
Would be a moment of joy and fun!

But never does it happen
And every tickling of the pendulum
Adds an hour more of loneliness,
An hour more of boredom,
Giving me some more pain
And rendering me the same,
Waiting for it over again,
That perhaps the next one to come
Would be a moment of joy and fun.


And the day ends.
Once again I see that I spent
A day more of empty moments.
What a terrible Bore!
My heart torments.
But still waiting
For the next to come.
Again hoping
It will bring some joy
Again hoping
It will bring some fun.

      This was my state of mind for near about two full years...I still remember the day when I had scribbled this poem, I literally asked myself: what has happened to you Priya?
      I hadn't written, drawn or danced a single time in 2 yrs...

    A very nice poem Priya. Sometimes, you just hope for these moments to pass, for the loneliness to end but the time seems to get stuck at a point and it hurts like hell.
    But surely, like all things bad, it comes to an end making the hopes come true. :)

      Yes, It hurts like hell. And sometimes U dont even know what its doing to you. u r sort of Numb and when U realize it later, its a very bad feeling!

Words that were not said, but understood!!!

*FICTION* I was going through all the messages and chats we had shared just a month back. How things change I wonder!! Re-reading them was like going through many emotions. Those lines still gave me the same smile, same laughter the way they had given me a month before or so. Though yes, this time, those were accompanied by a li'l sadness and a wish. A part of me still wished if it could be continued, if we could take it further. A wish that at least it should not have ended so abruptly like this. He thought for a while and thought about calling her. Perhaps he could change this. There was no point in continuing but he was feeling a turbulence inside him. He had always felt something different about her. After his previous relationship which ended on a bitter note, he came across somebody different. The Stranger

*FICTION* Last Saturday, I was at British council, New Delhi  center.  I had gone there to collect my certificate. The receptionist told me that my teacher would arrive in an hour and only then I could collect my certificate so I went to the Charbagh there to spend my time. Since all the tables were occupied (yes there is a good sitting arrangement too), I sat at one of the slabs surrounding a fountain which is there in the middle of Charbagh. I assumed it was a pleasant day but the wind was dry and temperature not as low as I had expected. There were people sitting on the other slabs too. As it was a dry day, I scooped some water on my palm from the fountain. Freshness surrounded me so I kept doing it again and again. After a few minutes I realized a girl was observing me.
