Once Upon A Time...

Once upon a time I had dreams... Dreams of everything I could ever be... I was young, very young So young that I actually lived my dreams... In dreams ofcourse! Thinking that they Might come true one day... My dreams were of dance... Dancing from the heart Performing on stage For so long and to an extent That everyone gets up and applaud And say my name Not with contempt But with love... My dreams were of mathematics... Of problem solving! Believing firmly That one day I would solve it all... My dreams were of English To have that command over language To speak like a pro... Hoping that one day I'll communicate exactly what I mean... My dreams were of academics To clear CA in one go Wishing everyone to go 'awww' Over my success... My dreams were of love Of love & romance Exactly like those in fairy tales... Dreams of a soulmate... Convinced, I was That someone would actually turn up someday And relieve me... Once upon a tim...

Happy Journey!

Whenever I travel through a car with family via an open wide road having flat green fields on either side, I just can't help myself but think. I have always said that life is a journey and its not just a line for me, I actually believe it in every sense possible. And I want to have the maximum of this journey. Thank God, I have stopped throwing philosophies at every point or may be I haven't much got chance in recent times :P Though my philosophies are usually good  and  the timing is usually appropriate. :D Today actually two strange things happened: a) I don't usually go with my family. After 2012, I stay away from it, kind of. And, that has actually made me more grateful to the trips that I agree to make with them. However, today was unusual. I just agreed to go for no reason and turned out that I actually had a role to play. Though main plan was something else, I on the way convinced my parents to make an additional visit to some place else and actually tha...

Old Scribblings & Fresh Smiles!

Image
The end of the year is approaching, and there are few pages left in my diary. Something right's happening, no? It's unusual because despite wanting to, I have never been  a person to start a new diary in the beginning of every year (this year I will :D) as a) I am  was not a person who writes regularly, b) or who is organized enough to keep one diary at a time or c) somebody who would actually take up the same diary she has kept for random (and sometime thoughtful) scribblings and write at the back of  any notebook or on a random paper, yeah this is my laziness. Worse than that, you'd never find my diaries neat, of course I'd never show it you! :P Diary, pen, marker and a better  phone :P Clicked more than an year before! My last diary, the one which is almost finished (I am already not calling it my "present" diary :P, I am actually excited to start a new diary in the new year. Yeah, imagine a kid writing this post :/ ) is of 2011, in which...
Its ironical when you send a not so complete post to a friend before publishing it, and later you tell her to not to read it because its kinda personal & crap and two days later you come up with a post that you consider quite personal and publish it to the world. The former post was probably a hundred times more casual than the one you published. I have always been very reluctant to share the inner me. May be it stems from the experiences when I tried and was misunderstood & perhaps because I fear judgement on my deep inner emotions or insane vulnerabilities as has been earlier, though in a not-so-serious manner. Or may be this reluctance was always there. Whenever I would write something, a  part of me would be screaming yells of pain when words would form a sentence but those sentences together lack the feeling that I ache to share.  Though on a personal blog, you are, kind of, supposed to rant, I don't know but any post on personal life or on that deep inner side...

A soft touch!!

Before today, It had never happened to me. Just yesterday I was tired, little upset (for a silly reason), had a bit of pain in my legs n back ( because of dance classes) and just couldn't sleep till it was 2:30. I was reading Harry Potter #3 but the sad part is this is the only harry potter movie I have watched many times so wasn't able to enjoy it properly :-/ . ( Some of you might be wondering over it but its good you know that I haven't seen them properly. I can read all the parts enjoying them to the fullest!! ) At 5:30 am or nearby, My phone rang. It was a fitful sleep already, so I woke up almost immediately. It was my   jiju (brother-in-law)  on the other side, announcing so darn happily over phone," Congratulations jee, aap maasi bann gye ho!! :D" (Congratulations, You have become an aunt). My sister (cousin) gave birth to baby boy and I was happy beyond limits. He's the first one next generation actually. I told my mother, congratulated the new...

Random Blabbering

As I am writing this, sitting by my desk, I have innumerable things beside me. A just-empty glass of Apple-juice, my phone , a golden tape, some papers lying haphazardly…..the list goes on! Shows that I am a messy person. Actually I am both…I like organization…like my almirah n all- I don’t let anyone open it. I am writing today partly because I feel I have been away from writing or blogging for long on account of My sister’s wedding (and also nothing was coming to mind as to what to write) and partly because my Friend has asked lot many times to keep writing. Its not that my mind is out of ideas or thoughts that I won’t like to take down on paper but as they say…their frequency is lot more than the total time required to open PC and start typing. Though I sometimes do write in diary as well, but there is nothing worthy of sharing in this space. Those all are my random thoughts which I start with sentences and then end up with doodling all over the page. Most of the time these da...

Its been more than a month that I have blogged. My blog is going dormant. I have been really busy in the last few days. But today I have to blog. I want to blog. And I will Blog. B'cause...Its " A -Happy-B'day-To-You-My-Blog"    :) And I am truly happy that my blog made it to its second year. Also yesterday only, I got to be The Notable Newbie although today onwards i'll not be a newbie anymore. :D Also,  My page  got its 100th like just now. Isn't it a coincidence??? A happy one though :) And......an important thing to share..... Finally    I have joined dance classes. And I am truly elated that i finally did it. and oh! the joy! I don't feel like stopping when I dance, doesn't matter how much weird steps I am doing. I just love the whole feel of the studio....mirrors on both the sides and U keep on trying to do the steps perfectly. My choreographer has also come to know that I am a dance-maniac. I don't know whet...

Loved the message I got!!

Sometimes, you do something all impulsively, not knowing what to expect! As a new book-lover (Ya! U may call me that), I was very keen on meeting an author, getting books signed and just attend a reading session. Frankly, I was waiting for Preeti Shenoy's book signing event to be held in Delhi. But when a blogger Friend asked me to join her on one of her favourite author/person's book-signing event, I gladly accepted. One for the reason I told you above, Second I hadn't read the book of that author but I have read her articles of course. (Well, who hasn't?) and third I wanted to meet people I met through blogging. It was lovely meeting You , You and You !! Hoping to see you all in the blogger meet too!! Well, Since I didn't have the book, I purchased it right there in the store so as to not miss the opportunity of getting a book autographed right in front of me. Yes, I am behaving like a kid but I admit I was excited!  The author turned out to be a war...

This post is a part of  Write Over the Weekend , an initiative for  Indian Bloggers  by BlogAdda Chosen among the Loved posts!! "Again you are scribbling..Can't you put your nose off your books and papers for sometime?" my mother snaps at me as I scribble a poem. "Oh ma! Atleast listen to what I wrote" "Hmm...tell" "Ahmm ahmm" I pretend to clear my throat and My mum laughs back. "Will you open your mouth or should I go back to kitchen?" "Oh!No-no please!" I say quickly and grab her by elbow. Who doesn't want audience? ;) Listen," Life's unpredictable, Can't say when it would take a turn. We can't really say, When life might be deprived of all fun. It's true, What elders say, You should know to walk alone; No matter  Come what may. She smiles and looks at me for some time curiously. "You write well and what you've written is indeed true."...
